  • What is mediation?

Mediation is a process where a neutral third person, the mediator, helps resolve disputes. In the context of divorce, the mediator assists couples so they can come to agreements on topics such as how to divide their property and dissolve their marriage.

  • Can I have an attorney while going through mediation?

Yes! While our mediators are highly experienced attorneys, many of our clients also have an individual consulting attorney. If you don't have an individual attorney, and would like one, we will provide a list of excellent family law attorneys who are familiar with our process.

  • What are private judges?

Private judges are retired judges or senior attorneys with considerable experience in family law. They have the power to make the same decisions in a divorce case as superior court judges.

  • Does Rhodes Mediation only take divorce cases?

Yes, we specialize in taking couples through divorce. All our mediators and private judges have extensive family law experience.
